To find all the datacrons and matrix shards, read our Datacrons and Shards Location Guide – this article assumes you have already found enough to combine and create your matrix cube.
Matrix Cubes Assembly Room Locaitons
If you are playing as Empire, you will have to go to Dromund Kass’ Ancient Assembly Chamber this can be found near the dark temple and if you are playing as Republic then you will have to visit Coruscant’s Lost Assembly Vault, the West room in the Jedi Temple is the place you need to visit to craft these cubes. You can see them from the outside as the entrance will have the regular green instance entrance mesh over it.
How To Power Matrix Cube
You will need to grab a Reconfigured Disassemebler core on Tatooine , which will allow you to power your cube. You can carry only one cube at a time and You can’t create another one till you have one equipped with you.
Where To Store Matrix Cubes
You can store them in your cargo hold and then build new ones. You can build up to 4 of the matrix cubes after you have found all the shards which allows you to store and alternate between cubes for multiple specs and roles. Great for PvP, PvE, ealer and Tank /DPS roles.

After you have assembled these cubes, you will have the option to break them down using the dissembler in the same area. To power it, you are going to need a Reconstructed Disassembler Core which you can buy for 20K from vendors in Tatooine’s Mos Isla or Anchorhead. May the force be with you
