Its been a good week on Darkmoonfaire for the guys at Vivus, First Clearing Blood-Queen Lana'thel and then lastnite with the help of some new raid trials stringing a team together at late notice and finishing the valithria Dreamwalker encounter, setting us up with just Sindragosa and professor putricide still remaining before the Lich King...
Well by the time the clock hit 20:00 we had all but given up on pulling a raid together lastnite but thanks to Dengan (prot/ret) tayanu(resto/boomkin) and Steff(Feral) We managed to get a Team into ICC to work some more on the Valithria Dreamwalker Encounter - and after what seemed a lifetime of changing the setup we had - trying with 2 druids spam nourish, 2 paladins entering the portal and even a 4 healer setup we decided for the last 30 minutes to try with 1 Tank 6 DPS and 3 Healers - Qera stepped out for Reddas to join the raid and Daywalkerr took a backseet on the fight to reduce us to just Johax tanking..
And we imediately noticed a differance with 1 tank holding the mobs in place pretty solidly the rest of the DPS were free to get the suppressors down fast and work on the kill order we had worked out - the first attempt with the setup ended with the boss a little over 90% of the way to full HP with Disumpit pulling out 5 million in healing in almost 8 minutes. Looking at ways to tweak the setup the final attempt of the nite we pushed the druids to keep hots running on the boss + the raid and Dim carried on as normal portal hopping and Boss healing - the fight ended in 5 minutes 49 seconds with 4.7million healing done by Dimsumpit (holypaladin) and Tayanu and Maffor pulling the last 1.3million together on the boss... Another great nite and yet another ICC 10 kill for the team putting us firmly No2 on the server out of the 10 man only guilds and even passing a handful of the 25 man guilds progression. Great work guys. |
